How to assign variable and function name?

There are many ways for naming convention, and for different programming language, company structure, and different environment, people have different way for naming variable and functions.

However, to make our code standardized and professional, we have to standardize all the naming convention for variable and function, and style of writing code also. So, at the end of the day, people won't notice that the system was actually written by many different people.

For our standard naming convention for variable and function, we should strictly follow C style or as below:

variable naming:

var thisIsVariable;
$thisIsVariable;

Note that all words are joined, and first letter small letter, and first letter capital for the rest of words.

function naming:

function thisIsFunction(){
}

Note that the naming convention for function is same with variable's, the words are joined, first letter small letter, and first letter capital for the rest of words.
