Google vs. Microsoft

Recently the latest hot news in IT world, undoubtedly, were Google announcing of Chrome OS and Microsoft Office 2010.

Everyone has been awaited for more than 10 years (Sorry Microsoft supporter), people were waiting something other than Microsoft to come out, as competitor with Microsoft Windows, but there's no one. Until recent, the year 2009 is the year of IT, which saw so many new announcements and launching, likes Google Wave, Google applications out of beta, Mozilla Firefox 3.5, Apple Safari 4, Opera 10, Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Silverlight 3, Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Ubuntu 9.04, and many more.

However, if you all can notice, it's actually the two IT giants are fighting, Google vs. Microsoft. Google announcing of Chrome OS, no doubt, is launching the battle with Microsoft right face to face. Google: Microsoft, it's on! We hated, really hated Microsoft so much (Google comic). Microsoft already dominating and monopoly (in some sense) the most desktop market, and now, it's time someone stand out, and fight back, and that very one is Google!

Microsoft's reply to Google Chrome OS is they don't care about it, it's just another Linux OS, and it just can't beat Microsoft Windows. However, Microsoft not only reply to Google Chrome OS, but launch another battle to Google Docs, which is Microsoft Office 2010, and web free! This is no doubt, to fight right face to face with Google free online office services and applications. But, Google initially released of Google Docs was also to compete with Microsoft Office, and it's web free for Google users.

No matter how, at last, the victory will be us, the users. Guess what? Now I have selection of various OS, ranging from traditional legendary Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux Ubuntu, Google Chrome OS, and many other web OS, soon will be popular when more netbook released. Not only that, now we have Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, and Google Docs, of course together with other Office applications.
